Kevin shotokan wtf ! In fight you don’t want to receive damage when
possible, only idiots with egos will stand and take a beating when they
don’t have to. Look at all the punch-drunk fighters who can’t even speak
properly because they wanted to be a “man”as you say.

I’m 2nd degree black belt shotokan…..and I love seeing the defensive
tactics we are thought being used in MMA……and the kizami tsuki and
gyaku tsuki….I just love it, it shows that karate can go up against any
    other martial art.

  • By Kevin Shotokan, January 17, 2014 @ 4:28 pm

Those who say Lyoto is a pussy for running away when his opponent attack
him are totally right. Dodging is gay, true men stay in their spot and let
themselves be hammered as it should be!

  • By MrSharkattack93, January 17, 2014 @ 5:24 pm

I agree. I would say lyoto’s fights are beautiful.

  • By Nic Strowbridge, January 17, 2014 @ 5:56 pm

Lyoto has the best fighting style out of any of the UFC fighters, people
say he runs away? No he beautifully evades opponents. Watching Lyoto fight
is like watching living art. It’s beautiful and brutal at the same time.
That is why he is one of the best fighters of his age.

  • By Big Scottius, January 17, 2014 @ 6:33 pm

I say they can call it what they will. The real point here is that he’s an
amazing UFC fighter, one of the best fighters in the WORLD, using his
unique style. I don’t care what style you use, when someone gets as far as
Machida does, fights and beats the type of people Machida has, they deserve
    so much respect.

sempre avançando.. assistam as atigas lutas no jungle dele.

your actually true about that it’s his game plan of trying to avoid hits
and the thing is lyoto is actually a counter person waiting for the right
moment to strike but he can also be an offensive person when your to close
plus he is superb with those leg trips like how he tripped hendo you just
have to stick with the game plan that you chose

  • By raajue3, January 17, 2014 @ 11:34 pm

    Yes, that is true.

  • By Jonathan Jimenez, January 18, 2014 @ 12:31 am

No its not impossible .. I could hop and run away or stay in the backyard
and fight you and dodge and move Machida could hop over the the cage and
run but he doesnt so yet again you make ur self feel smart but your not he
stays in the cage and fights & dodges and aovids hits but yet again hes not
running away so yet again we come to the conclusion that Lyoto Machida
doesnt run away “Fuck are you ever dumb, nice argument moron.”

Trust me….if his style is running…then I would have kicked way more ass
    in school.

  • By JohnboySK64, January 18, 2014 @ 2:54 am

except they dont teach you to avoid attacks in karate, they teach you to
block or parry using an impossible to apply in a real situation technique,
then attack. also, what you just watched is “Machida Karate”, his father
adapted it to suit MMA better, but grappling and jujitsu part of lyotos
    game is from BJJ etc.

  • By alex g, January 18, 2014 @ 2:55 am
